Jaclyn began her working career as an elementary school teacher in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. After thirteen years of teaching in Ontario and British Columbia, she retired to be a ‘stay at home Mom' with her two little girls, Lisa and Jaime.
In 1981 she and her family moved from British Columbia to Alberta, where, in 1983 she re-entered the work force as a volunteer with Calgary Cable. Her goal was to learn behind the scenes workings of T.V. that she could incorporate into her real love, writing. At Calgary Cable she was well known for reporting news events, hosting talk shows, and producing Jerry Lewis Telethons.
In 1984 she opened a modeling agency in Calgary. This wealth of knowledge and experience prompted her to convert that agency into a talent agency that then became, Majer Casting Inc.
After eleven years of casting feature films, movies of the week, documentaries, T.V. series, and commercials, she left the industry to focus on her writing.
Jaclyn's first feature film, “We'll Meet Again…” is now in development, with possible shooting in the summer of 2008.
Jaclyn is a published author of two books: “Behind Heaven's Curtains”, a book about angels and how they help us in our daily lives, and, “Pilgrimage To the Holy Grail”, a spiritual and physical treasure hunt, for that mystical prize of Medieval folk lore. Her third book, “A Miracle for Angelo”, an inspirational book of hope, compassion and love in these troubled times.
